The modern emblem
It was confirmed in November, 1st, 2000 by the decision #135-14/ХХII of region council session.
Per fess by Azure and Vert; on the dexter intersection wings of windmill Or on a slotted triangle Or, on the sinister intersection horn powder flask Argent with inserted three wheat ears Or. The shield is enframed by decorative cartouche Argent, over shield is ribbon with the inscription "Kryvoriz'kyi region", under the ribbon is inscription "1925",
Powder flack is the nominal symbol and indicates the name of the region center ("Kryvyi Rih"). With wheat ears it forms a "horn of plenty". The wings of mill symbolize movement, which leads to prosperity. Triangle means presence 100 Scythian burial mounds in region.
