Vert with wavy base Azure in 1/3 part of it. On the top part stork Argent with beak and paws Gules, on the ends of everyone wind nine feathers Sable. In the middle part leaf of osokor' tree Argent, in the bottom part two-headed ancient ship Or with valuable stone Gules in the form of a bowl. The board is crowned by crown Argent.
Vert color of a board means hope, well-being and prosperities. Azure color means the peace, consent, wisdom. Argent symbolizes cleanliness and nobleness, or - well-being, and gules - struggle for the best future is warm also. Stork is a symbol of a bird which in ancient Ukraine-Rus' symbolized Mother Glory - a female image of Sacred Spirit, patronesses of Ukraine-Rus'. In the regional arms it symbolizes returning statehood of Ukraine, happy modern development of region, kindly, rest, updating.
The wavy base symbolizes Dnipro. The osokor' leaf means one of old districts - the settlement Osokorki which has arisen on a place of osokor' woods known from 1070. Or two-headed ship with gules valuable stone in the form of a bowl certifies participation of modern territory of Darnyts'kyi region in the well-known ancient past of Kyiv and the integral territorial unity with territory of modern capital of Ukraine - Kyiv.
