The soviet emblem
It was confirmed in October, 11th, 1984 by the decision of region council session.
Azure; silhouette of a fortress and gear ir, on it is triangle gules with top argent. The chief gules is charged by the city name or.
The fortress is a symbol of a city history, gear means a machine engineering industry, the triangle on a white background (imitation of sugar) means the food-processing industry.
