It was confirmed in October, 12th, 1984 by the decision #5 of city council session.
The board Gules with base Azure and gear chief Or carries the emblem Or of autotractor repair shops with the ear in the its centre. On the basis of the ear is the wave.
The castle gears means the historical monument of city belonging to the general-major of imperial army V.M.Popov. The image of an ear and key symbolizes unity of working class and collective-farm peasantry.
