It was confirmed in September, 10th, 1999 by the decision NХХІІІ-14/13 of XIV city council session of XXIII convocation. Per fess arched. Azure; argent falcon. Or; azure wavy fess with three argent fountains of water which leave on a surface flies. The shield is crowned by or mauerkrone with three towers and frame by two or ears, which are twined by the azure ribbon. The authors are E.Malaha and M.Starodubtsev.
Azure symbolizes the clear sky and beauty of the nature, or (on a flag - yellow color) - natural resources. The bird personifies city because it reminds of its contour. The division specifies, that city is located on one of the highest places of Azov Height. The wavy strip with fountains means small river Volnovaha which name deduce from a plenty of springs.
