It was confirmed in December, 2001. Azure; crossed or sword handle up in pale and or key bit down and right in fess. In the or chapter are three argent towers per fess with the open gate. The key and a sword mean historical role of region in struggle for the Ukrainian statehood. Three towers mean Galychyna, Volyn' and Podillya, and also a plenty of defensive castles.
