It was confirmed in December, 14th, 2004 by the decision of region council session. Per pale. Azure; three or ears (two above one); or, three vert leaves ears (two above one); in the gules chief is argent paty cross. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or territorial crown.
Argent cross on the gules field is Volyn' symbol. Three ears mean agriculture, azure color means water, three oak leaves mean region name ("dub" is "oak") and power, or is symbol of well-being. The authors are S.Havryljuk, A.Pozhars'kyi, T.Shchur. Image on site V.Napytkin.
