DUBENS'KA COMMUNITY

DUBNO

The first mention concerns to 1100 when Kyiv congress of Rus' princes granted Duben, Ostroh, Chortoryisk and Bus'k to Davyd Ihorevych. From the end of XIV century it belonged to Ostroz'ky. In 1498 the city receives the privilege on self-management under the Magdebourg right, realization of weekly tenders and annual fairs. At the end of XVIII century used stamp with date "1640" and Ostroz'ky princes arm. After disintegration of Rich Pospolyta Dubno becomes district city.
