It was confirmed in August, 4th, 2002 by the decision of city council session. Rectangular panel with sides ratio 1:2 consists of two equal vertical stripes of yellow and blue colors. From the upper edge goes green triangle, bordered on each side by crimson stripe, combined and extending to the bottom edge. Above all is white oval with a brown border, in it is escutcheon, divided on green, yellow and blue by white pall. On each beam of it are three purple billets, the middle of which is longer. Above all is yellow stylized eagle with white spots, on the chest is a black triangle. Shield is framed by yellow border, in top is inscription "PETROVS'KE", in bottom - "1779". Shield is crowned by blue pierced four-pointed star, in the bottom it is accompanied by brown ornament in the form of two birds. Image on site C.Bohatov.
