It was confirmed in March, 23d, 2017 by the decision #7 of XII region council session of VII convocation. Azure; bird Gules surrounded by flame Or, in chief three seven-rayed stars Argent (two and one), on the sides two pales Or with three branches of acacia Vert and endorses Azure along the edges. Under the shield on ribbon Or padded by Vert inscription "SHEVCHENKIVS'KYI REGION" Vert.
The bird Phoenix recalls the revival of the central part of the Dnipro after the tragic events of 1943, when it was burned by the Nazis. Palls with branches of acacia personify a two-row boulevard on the main avenue. The endorses along the branches of the acacia denote tram tracks, recalling the oldest (after Kyiv) electric tram in Ukraine since 1897.
