The modern emblem

It was confirmed in July, 5th, 2001 by the decision #255-20-ХХII of XX city council session of XXIII convocation.

Argent, semy by delfs Sable; pale Azure with horseshoe Argent topped by paty Argent, with the same cross in the middle, under them heart Or. The shield is enframed by cartouche Or and crowned by city crown Argent with three prongs.
Argent field reminds a birch trunk and associates with the name of city. The horseshoe, crosses and heart specify on Berezan' as ancient squadron city and emphasize cossack traditions.
