ZVIZDIVKA

Zvizde, Zvizhde - most ancient names of village, that were known since 1620 and 1755. The landowners sent rebellious peasants to these places and settled them on sandy mountain, where nothing grew. There was only wind. Therefore initial name of a settlement was Svistche ("whistle"). And later - Zvizde, Zvizhde, since 1946 - Zvizdivka.
