Gules; formy cross in saltire Argent, accompanied in the chief and base by letters E and B Or. The shield is framed by a wreath of grape leaves Or, entwined by ribbon Gules and Argent, placed on saltire cross from rod and staff, and crowned by miter Or. On the ribbon are dates 1968 and 2007 Or, and the motto LIFE IN ORTHODOXY Or.
Formy cross in saltire is an associated Volyn' symbol because Bishop came from Volyn', at the same time cross like the wings of the mill, alluding to the name of the bishop (Mel'nyk means miller). Letters indicate the Bishop's church title and name, the dates on the tape mean years of birth and consecration.
