KOROSTYSHIV
Korostyshiv is one of the most ancient cities of Ukraine, which basis date was lost in VI-VII centuries. According to the legend, the small town Hminichi was the centre of one of slavonic tribes - minchany. The first written mention as about village of Zhytomyr district of Kyiv province of the Great Lithuanian Principality refers to March, 26th, 1499. Sixty five years it belonged to Kmity Chernobyl'skyis, known and influential family of Right-bank Ukraine. Since 1565 town was the property of earls Olizary.
The Magdeburg Right was given in 1779.
