LUHANS'KA OBLAST'

The modern emblem

It was confirmed in May, 15th, 1998 by the decision of oblast' council session.

Quarterly, bordered, escutcheon or. First and fourth parts are vert, second and third parts are gules. On escutcheon is rectangle sable with belt gules and flames accompanied on the sinister and dexter side by hammers sable. On the first part is horse or going to right, on the fourth part is marmot or turned up to dexter. On base is rising sun or with 14 rows. The shield is framed by or ears and oak leaves, which are twined by the blue-and-yellow ribbon with inscription "LUHANS'KA OBLAST'".
