APOSTOLIVS'KYI REGION

The modern emblem

It was confirmed in February, 21st, 2003 by the decision #73-7/XXIV of region council session.

Per fess. First Gules; three wheat spikelets Or above towel Argent, embroidered by Ukrainian ornament Gules. Second Vert; Apostol family emblem: on shield Azure escuthceon Gules with double cross Argent splitted from below, similarly to an anchor, surrounded by ten six-beam star Or and Chevalier Cross Or in base.
Ears symbolize agriculture - the main economic sector in the life of the district. The emblen of Hetman Danylo Apostol, whose grandson, M.Apostol, owned this lands in XVIII-XIX centuries, reminiscent of the historical past of the region. The gules color is a symbol of courage, vert means fertile fields and beautiful nature.
