It was confirmed in September, 26th, 2011 by the decision of VIII region council session of VI convocation. Per bend sinister. First Purple; Cossack kleinods Or - three crossed hetman's mace handles down. Second Vert; storks Argent with beak Gules and feathers Sables on the wings and tail stands on one leg Gules. The shield is framed by a wreath from oak branches Vert, wheat ears Or and viburnum branch Gules, intertwined by ribbon Azure with inscription "Koriukivs'kyi region" Or and crowned by territorial crown Or.
Cossack hetman's mace emphasize the tradition (region at different times was a settlement of three prominent figures of Ukrainian history, the famous hetman of Ukraine - I.Samoilovych, I.Mazepa, P.Polubotok). Stork is symbol of vigilance (Koriukivka is border region). Ear means the development of agriculture, oak leaves symbolize the local forest.
